Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
The short version
- We only collect what you choose to give us: your name, business, email and message.
- We use it to reply to you and deliver the services you ask for. Nothing else.
- We never sell, rent or trade your information.
- This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies and no third-party analytics.
- We never collect card or bank details through this website.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Pique Marketing (ABN 94 974 338 610) (“Pique”, “we”, “us”). We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What we collect
Information you give us:
- Contact form: your name, business name, email address, the service you're interested in, any message you write, and a record that you agreed to this policy.
- When you become a client: information about your business, customers, goals, brand and social media accounts that you choose to share with us so we can do the work.
- Invoicing: the billing details we need to invoice you (such as your name, business name, ABN, address and email) and records of the payments you make.
Information collected automatically: like almost every website, our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request) for security and to keep the site running. We don't use these logs to identify you.
Cookies: this website does not set advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
You can contact us without giving your real name, but we'll need a working email address to reply.
3. How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To deliver, manage and improve the services you've engaged us for.
- To process payments and keep business and tax records.
- To keep this website secure and prevent spam and fraud.
We won't send you marketing emails unless you've asked to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We only share your information with trusted service providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
- Formspree: delivers contact-form messages to our inbox (servers in the United States).
- Our accounting and invoicing software: used to send invoices and keep financial records.
- Netlify: hosts this website, and our email provider, which stores the emails we exchange with you.
- AI and productivity tools we use to draft content for your business. We only give these tools the business information needed to create your content, and every output is reviewed by a person.
- Our professional advisers (such as an accountant), or authorities when the law requires it.
Because some of these providers store data overseas (mainly in the United States), your information may be held outside Australia. We choose providers with strong security and privacy commitments.
5. How we keep it secure
- The whole website is served over encrypted HTTPS, and browsers are told to always use a secure connection (HSTS).
- Security headers block the site from being embedded elsewhere and restrict which outside services it can talk to.
- The site has no database, so no customer information is stored on the web server itself.
- Form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection and filtered for spam.
- No card or bank details are ever collected through this website.
- Our accounts are protected with strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication, and only the people who need access have it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don't turn into work for up to 24 months, then delete them. We keep client and payment records for as long as the law requires (generally 5 years for tax records), then securely delete or de-identify them.
7. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- see the personal information we hold about you,
- correct anything that's wrong or out of date,
- delete your information (unless we're legally required to keep it).
Email us at enquire@piquemarketing.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days.
8. Data breaches
If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm to you, we'll notify you as soon as practical and, where required, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
9. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please email us first and we'll do our best to fix it within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the OAIC at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
